Looking at it in 2023, though, we do need to ask how comfortable those black leather knee-highs would really be, especially if she planned on walking all over whoever wronged her.

No shade to Nancy, but a pair of shoes that are made for walking (or running, or working) - like these composite toe shoes from Caterpillar safety - would have been a better pick.
