SNAPSHOT 2.5G is a pre-emergence herbicide for control of certain broadleaf weeds and annual grasses in landscape ornamentals, nursery stock, and non-cropland areas. Can give effective control of shallow germinating weed seeds for 3 to 6 months. ApplySNAPSHOT 2.5G in late summer to early autumn or in early spring, prior to germination of target weeds, or immediately after cultivation. SNAPSHOT 2.5G does not control established weeds. Poor control of weeds producing vegetatively can be expected, unless all reproductive material (e.g. rhizomes, bulbs, etc.) is removed prior to treatment. Weeds like kikuyu and Cynodon varieties will only be controlled if germinating by means of seed, vegetative material (roots) present in soil area cannot be controlled.
Existing weeds should be controlled by cultivation or with post-emergence herbicides. Weed residues, prunings and trash should be removed or thoroughly mixed into soil prior to treatment. Soil should be in good condition and free of clods at the time of application. A single rainfall or irrigation is required before and after application to activate SNAPSHOT 2.5G. Optimum weed control is obtained when SNAPSHOT 2.5G is activated within 3 days of application. If rainfall or irrigation has not occurred within 3 days of application and tillage is possible, SNAPSHOT2.5G may be activated using cultivation equipment capable of uniformly mixing the herbicide into the upper 2 to 5 centimetres of soil. Failure to activate SNAPSHOT 2.5G within 3 days of application may result in erratic weed control. Do not apply when wind conditions could cause drift ofSNAPSHOT 2.5G granules from the target area.
For newly potted plants, allow the growth medium to settle for 7 - 10 days before application, providing the plants have good root development. The growth medium should be firm and free of emerged weeds before application.
