This unit is unique as it has a safety cut-off switch. The steamer will automatically turn off when the water drops below the second red line of the glass jar. In order to reactivate the steamer, you will have to fill the water to the highest red line level. Only distilled water should be used with this Salon Professional Facial Steamer in order to prolong the life of the element and maintain a clean, healthy stream of mist at all times.
