Dating back to only 1962, Du Toitskloof Wines is a young, forward-thinking and innovative winery that quickly established its name as a household wine brand. Beloved for their Fairtrade Initiative and projects, the winery has been an accredited Fairtrade producer for 15 years and continue to support and sustain social development programmes that have gone on to become some of the most successful in the world. - After initial fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is matured for 8 months using a mixture of barrels and staves.
- Dark ruby red in colour.
- This wine offers aromas of ripe plums, cherries, chocolate, and a slight scent of dried banana, all wrapped in sweet, oaky vanilla.
- Dry, supple tannins add a silky mouth-feel of black cherries.
- Medium to full-bodied wine.
- Enjoy with various heavier red meat dishes like leg of lamb, venison and game meat.
