About

Duvel (2 x 330ml)

  • Duvel is a 100% pure and natural beer, with no additives or preservative. Its surprisingly high alcohol content (8.5%), huge, creamy head, delicate effervescence and silky smooth mouth feel is what distinguishes Duvel from other Belgian beers.
  • After bottling, the beer continues to ferment for a fortnight in the warm cellars of the brewery.
  • Finally, the beer is chilled for 6 weeks in the cold cellars.
  • This extra long maturing process is unique and contributes to the exquisite flavour and pure aroma of Duvel.
  • After the 90-day brewing process, the beer is released. At Duvel, patience and time are essential virtues. It is a beer brewed with the utmost patience and passion.
  • ABV: 8.5%
  • Expiry date: February 2022

Anker (4 x 440ml)

  • Founder of Den Anker Restaurant at the V&A Waterfront, Denis Bouckaert started producing Anker Bier in Belgium in 1996 and would ship this beer to SA for sale at his restaurant.
  • Craft beer was unheard of all those years ago and for the restaurant, it was their "house beer".
  • ABV: 5%
  • Expiry date: August 2021
Achel Blond (2 x 350ml)
  • The Achel 8 Blond is a beer of high fermentation that re-ferments in the bottle. The main fermentation is done with yeast supplied by the Van Steenberghe brewery. Dried yeast is then used for in-bottle re-fermentation
  • Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops and yeast - there is no fussing with additional herbs or aromas
  • Colour: Splendid lasting collar of white froth & clear golden-blond tripel
  • ABV: 8%
  • Expiry date: August 2021
Kwak (2 x 350ml)
  • Rebranded but still the same Kwak we know and love
  • In common with all Bosteels beers, it is brewed with natural basic ingredients: barely malts, mineral water, wheat, hops and white candy sugar
  • Top fermentation,  filtered and pasteurised
  • Colour: Deep amber
  • ABV: 8.4%
  • Expiry date: October 2022

Chimay Triple (2 x 350ml)

  • Never been sold in SA!
  • Golden in colour, and succeeds remarkably in blending mellowness and bitterness
  • ABV: 8%
  • Expiry date: February 2023

Chimay Red (2 x 350ml)

  • Coppery in colour and sweet, fruity taste making it a particularly tasty dark ale
  • ABV: 7%
  • Expiry date: December 2021

Westmalle Trippel (2 x 330ml)

  • This Triple lures you in with its sweet banana aromas but then provides a hoppy bitterness as a background to the aroma symphony. Its malty body is enriched with yeasty alcohol esters and hop flowers. The character is predominantly herbal and earthy but, it is enlivened by CO2 pearls, ensuring a lively character overall.
  • This beer is brewed with barley malts, hops, sugar, yeast and water.
  • Colour & Transparency: Its deeply golden-yellow colour brings to mind the vivacity of autumn colours. If this beer is poured at a low temperature, a cold cloudy mist may be seen shimmering in the glass. All of this is topped off with a luxurious, but delicate, a collar of creamy froth – the not-quite-white jewel in the crown.
  • ABV: 9.5%
  • Expiry date: September 2021

Online liquor sales will be processed and shipped in accordance with Regulation 44(1)(a) of the amended Level 3 Lockdown Regulations published on 01 February 2021

Humble bragging. How is this still a thing?

You know the type. They'll say something along the lines of "I really miss my old Chevy Spark. This Audi SUV is so much harder to park."

Rest assured they don't miss that Chevy AT ALL. They just want you to know that they spent truckloads of cash on the latest Audi, but they want to come across as really casual because somehow that makes them cooler. Or something.

You'd think the complete lack of any complimentary responses would put an end to this type of self-appreciation, but if anything it's happening more and more.

We'd love to come up with an effective solution to it but we're waaay too busy running a successful eCommerce company to actually invest the time.

Did you know we're also getting our PhDs on the side? No big deal.
