The Japanese have been cooking food this way for thousands of years and now we can experience it for ourselves - an exciting new culinary adventure!
Although our grills originate in Japan, we as South Africans will know exactly how to use them. The pleasure of cooking over a hot grill brings the simple life pleasure that we as a nation truly appreciate.
At Grills of Japan we want to take you that step further than you’ve ever gone before. The step you never knew you could take. Things are about to get hotter, a lot hotter and for a whole lot longer! Enjoy your Grills of Japan experience and take it with you wherever you go.
Hida Konro Table Grills are made in Japan and are also known as Hibachi Grills.
As with all our grills - they use either regular charcoal or our binchotan charcoal as fuel.
These table grills pack a punch and can be used anywhere on the table allowing more guests to cook for themselves or own their own grill or add more to create a central table grilling experience for larger groups.
Made with Diatomaceous Earth this grill has incredible heat insulation properties and at the same time is lightweight and easy to use.
Complete your grilling experience by using our Tosa Binchotan, regarded as one of the best charcoals in the world.
TIP: Direct grilling as standard or remove the grill mesh to grill your favorite skewers directly over the charcoal.

Ours is about 3 feet by 3 feet, and on our left is the account's block. The marketing block is down the hall.
We're joking. Obviously.
Ours is at least 5 by 5, and on Wednesdays we're allowed to write in coffee shops to maintain the illusion that we're "successful" and "writerly".
Coming up with a write up for the simple sake of a write up does, however, become difficult when we're staring complete lack of creativity right in the face. But apparently asking management to cancel all the deals for the day isn't a viable fix.
As they so delicately put it, it'd be like a comedian having the option to suddenly cancel a show if they're not feeling up to it. Not on our watch, they said. You'll do a write up whether you like it or not, they said. And be funny, they said.
So here we are, doing a write up and being funny.
