The Woodstock Gin Company was founded by Simon Von Witt, is a passionate distiller of our Fynbos infused South African gin. As his passion for creating new recipes and distilling alcohol grew, so did his desire to share the final product of these creations with other people, and let them know that gin is so much more than Juniper berry infused alcohol.
Inception – as the name alludes to, is our first gin which has been made available to the public. Inception encapsulates our passion for gin making with a unique, elegantly smooth, herbaceous flavour that has subtle undertones of our Fynbos recipe, including Rooibos, Buchu, and Honey Bush to name a few.
Nestled neatly between Salt River and Woodstock is a bustling and creative commercial complex called the Salt River Arcade. Within this lies our small yet highly productive micro-distillery named the Woodstock Gin Company.
We believe that South Africa can produce a high-quality handcrafted gin that would make even the Brits turn their heads. As we continue to push the boundaries of concocting new and exciting gin recipes, we welcome you to taste our Gin and open your taste buds.
INCEPTION WINE BASE
Very smooth, elegant, full-bodied gin with a slight hint of jasmine and coriander on the palate. Light tones of buchu, rooibos and a hint of citrus can be picked up in the aftertaste. Drink on its own or add a dash of light tonic water, gooseberries and rosemary or a slice of grapefruit for a superb South African G&T.
INCEPTION BEER BASE
A more robust, punchy gin. It has a slight caramel, Ovaltine flavour on the nose from the initial beer distillation. This transcends into the traditional juniper berry flavour and picks up the lemon, lime and spices which carry through into the aftertaste. Drink on its own or add Mediterranean tonic water, a sliver of orange rind and a piece of cinnamon bark for a G&T with a twist.
HIGH TEA GIN
A refreshingly complex gin with similar flavours on the palate as the grape distilled Inception gin, but with lingering undertones of rooibos and honeybush, which are added post-distillation. Easy drinking on its own or with a block of ice and slice of lemon and a dash of light tonic or sparkling water. Unique South African flavours and refreshingly different from other gins.
Today's deals are a collection of things you see at friend's houses and really want, yet never seem to find them for sale anywhere no matter how hard you look.
You have two options. You can either buy 'em right here and now, or you can continue with your plan to steal the desired object from your friend, because "it'd look way better at your house anyway".
We recommend the former, and not just because it'll put bucks in our pocket. Crime is not the answer. Plus you'd never be able to have that person over for fear of being caught.
This way not only can you invite them round, but you can also enjoy the shock on their face when they realise your little summin'-summin' is just that bit nicer than theirs.
Eat your heart out, Joneses.
