So, you know how, even though it gets to like 35 degrees or more in December in South Africa, and we still have festive decorations with snowflakes everywhere? Or how, while everyone in the northern hemisphere celebrates Halloween in the autumn (as it should be, with all those pumpkins and fallen leaves), we're all trick-or-treating in the springtime? Yeah, it's to do with us sort of copying what everyone else is doing.
