About

Spier's Sourcing Philosophy: Nourishing and delicious food. Wine richly expressive of its terroir. This is their recipe: being good to the earth, to animals and to people. Spier sources as many ingredients as possible from their farm and from friends of Spier: the local, small-scale suppliers who share their ethical ethos. The fruit, veg and herbs in their gardens grow without artificial fertiliser or pesticides. Their happy cows, pigs and chickens are reared on our certified organic pastures without growth hormones or routine antibiotics. The quality of their wines begins in the vineyard. Each site is carefully chosen to ensure a perfect match between terroir and varietal and lovingly stewarded to ensure an optimal harvest, year after year.

Product Features
  • After fermentation, 20% of the wine was matured in French oak barrels for 8 to 10 months; the remainder matured in tanks with French oak staves to complement the wine’s flavour profile and length.
  • The wine was blended at the end of maturation.
  • Raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry aromas supported by black pepper and subtle oak spice lead to a well-balanced, medium-bodied style of wine with a smooth, velvety tannin.
  • Enjoy with a savoury pasta dish.

Dreams are weird.

They're like your brain's way of saying: you know what the world really needs? Nonsensical storylines that nobody questions. And flying cars.

And even though we know they're absolutely bonkers and possess zero relevance whatsoever, we waste no time telling people all about them.

Sad fact: nobody wants to hear it. There is only one dream worth talking about, and that's Martin Luther King Jr's.

Anyhoo, last night we had a dream where we featured half-off tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers live at the Department of Home Affairs. They weren't even performing. They just worked there. Crazy, huh?
