Introduced by Ibanez in mid-2022, the AW1040CE is an Artwood series acoustic/ electric guitar model that features a cutaway dreadnought body shape with a solid Okoume top on Okoume back and sides with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. It has a satin-finished Nyatoh neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with black binding and small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in an ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp with volume and tone controls, a T-bar undersaddle pickup and ¼" endpin output.
