The Irish whiskey industry declined in the 1800s. However, here in Belfast McConnell’s endured – outlasting many others. Now that name is back, heralding the return of the city’s illustrious distilling heritage. McConnell’s is a blend of select malt and grain whiskies, matured in ex-bourbon oak barrels, which add a subtle sweetness and a light woody char to the finish.

• Nose: Light citrus notes, peppered spice and vanilla undertones.
• Taste: Stone fruits, Butterscotch & Vanilla sweetness from Bourbon Casks, white pepper followed by an oak woodiness
• Finish: Sweet, Spice, Oak, with lingering ripe fruits.
• Alcohol by Volume: 43%

McConnell's 5YO Sherry Cask Irish Whiskey

• McConnell’s Sherry Cask Finish is aged for 5 years in 1st fill select Bourbon barrels. 
• It is then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry Casks.
• On the nose, dried figs and currants followed by Christmas spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, dark chocolate, and a hint of fresh leather.
• The palate shows Demerara sugar, dark ripe cherries and black raspberry followed by bitter dark chocolate shavings and rich red apples.
• The finish shows lingering oak notes, with a hint of leather and subtle clove spice.
• Non-chill filtered.
• Alcohol by Volume: 46%
