About

The Cape’s first farm, established in 1682, has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Just 20 minutes from the bustling heart of the Mother City, Steenberg feels miles from the world. Graham Beck bought Steenberg Hotel and Steenberg Winery in April 2005. Steenberg Hotel has since flourished into a complete luxury destination, with two fine restaurants, an award-winning winery, a championship 18-hole golf course, illustrious private homes and a world-class spa set amongst the estate’s astounding natural landscape.

Product Features
  • The Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc base wine is made in the traditional method, harvested by hand and gently whole bunch pressed at low pressures in order to not extract bitter phenols.
  • The juice was settled overnight and racked clean before fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
  • The wine was stabilised and prepared for the secondary fermentation in bottlem which took three months to complete and the wine was disgorged shortly thereafter.
  • This Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc is made to be fun, fruity and fresh.
  • The nose is full and intense with aromas of passion fruit, summer melons and a hint of lime.
  • The palate is light and smooth yet with a zippy acidity to lift the tropical flavours of pineapple, pear and guava.
  • A fresh brightness rounds off a delicious and refreshing sparkling wine, a perfect drink for a hot summer’s day.
  • Enjoy on its own, or with tempura prawns.

Never mind the Noise!

On this day in 1924, the "Happy Birthday" song was first published in a songbook. Can you even imagine how lame birthday parties were before this banger dropped? They must have been terrible!

Sisters Patty and Mildred Hill crafted the catchy melody, originally titled "Good Morning to All," for the children in Patty's kindergarten class. However, the genius who penned the birthday-specific lyrics remains unknown.

Perhaps this treasure was a collaborative effort, like Drake's "One Dance," which had a whole eight writers credited. Talk about a team effort!

Or maybe "Happy Birthday" was the work of a lone birthday enthusiast who wanted to leave their mark on birthdays forever.

Whether it's your birthday or not, how about treating yourself to our deal on active Noise Cancelling Earphones by adidas?
