Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. While rooted in this heritage, we've got a vibrant and conscious energy, and are home to one of the largest collections of contemporary South African art.

Product Features

• A portion of the wine (20%) was transferred to neutral barrels and the balance to stainless-steel tanks with French oak staves for malolactic fermentation and maturation. 
• The wine matured for a minimum of 12 months before blending.
• Bright flavours of cassis and violets followed by integrated spice and subtle oak aromas. 
• The palate is medium-bodied with fine, dense tannin and balanced acidity.
• Enjoy with a korma curry, mildly spiced rogan josh, or hamburgers with bacon and cheddar cheese.
