About

In 1984 Neil Ellis sourced grapes from vineyards not of his own and produced wine in rented cellar space. His vision, the pursuit of quality, extended out of the cellar and into the vineyards where varieties would excel and best express a particular style of wine reflective of their environment. Today, the experience and knowledge of the past are applied to modern techniques and technologies for a new generation of winemaking.

Product Features
  • Awards: 4.5 Star Platter, 92 Points Tim Atkin, 94 Points International Wine & Spirits Competition, Double Platinum & Top 100 National Wine Challenge, Double Gold Veritas.
  • Fermentation initiated in stainless steel tanks, and malolactic fermentation was completed in new French oak barrels.
  • This wine spent 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
  • Intense dark colour.
  • A subtle, intriguing and appetizing nose with blue and blackberries and typical cedar aromas from the Jonkershoek Valley.
  • The palate is nervous and fresh, followed by a well-defined tannin structure.

Deal with it!

Look, it's okay to complain from time to time. In fact, sometimes letting off steam can be good for you. Sat in traffic for 45 minutes en route to work? Definitely rant about it to your office bestie when you get there. Eggs Benedict cold when the waiter brings them out? Totally send them back.

Some things, though, are not worth complaining about. That bald patch? Wear a hat and get on with it. Getting a little too cold to wear your favourite mini? It's called winter, babes, deal with it.

Loadshedding? Come on, now. At this STAGE, if you don't have a power station like our deal on this one from Elecstor, that's on you. (And Eskom, obvs, but they're not going to buy one for you.)
