Proudly boasting some of the most sought-after terroirs in the Western Cape overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate has unique and beautiful stories to tell. Brought to life on the shores of the Bot River Lagoon, cool maritime winds caress the vines, resulting in a cooler median daytime temperature. This allows for slow ripening, preserving the gentle characteristics of these cool-climate wines. Proudly carrying the stamp of wine of origin Walker Bay, all wines are crafted with minimal intervention.

Product Features

Cuvée58

• Malolactic fermentation was done on the base wine to soften the Sauvignon Blanc’s natural acidity, adding a creamy texture.
• After blending and bottling, a secondary fermentation commenced in bottle for four weeks at 15°C. 
• The wine was then bottle matured and left on the lees before disgorgement.
• Left on its lees for 12 months.
• This Cap Classique with vivid aromas of candied apple, pear and sweet grass that comes to life when the fine mousse explodes on the surface. 
• The expected bright acidity is balanced with a tangy finish, concluded with a fresh floral note. 
• Absolutely delicious and versatile, enjoy on its own or with fresh oysters.
• Varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay 
• Alcohol by Volume: 13% 

Cuvée58 Rosé

• A partial malolactic fermentation (25%) was done to soften the acidity but to still preserve freshness and genteel aromas.
• After blending and bottling, a secondary fermentation was induced to initiate that fine bubbles Méthode Cap Classique is celebrated for.
• Rose gold in colour this Cap Classique shows prominent aromas of red berries, Turkish Delight and pomegranate with undertones of violets on the nose. 
• The palate is seductively fresh and persistent with a lingering aftertaste of strawberry, nougat and sliced grapefruit. 
• The mousse is fine and soft, leaving the taste buds with a tantalized sensation.
• Enjoy on its own, or pair with Macarons.
