About 

In 1691, the Farm Laborie was granted to French Huguenot, Isaac Taillefert. Already the owner of the neighbouring Picardie, Taillefert placed Laborie in his son Jean’s name. Together, they set about clearing the bush and planting vines, and within seven years, were producing a drinkable wine. In fact, it was the opinion of a Frenchman, Leguat, who visited the Cape in 1698, that their wine was the "best in the colony and similar to our small wines of Champagne”.

Cap Classique Rosé

• This Cap Classique was matured on the lees for 18 months.
• It shows prominent aromas of red berries, flambéed plum and pomegranate with undertones of oyster shell on the nose.
• The palate is seductively fresh and persistent with a lingering aftertaste of honey cake and sliced grapefruit.
• The mousse is fine and soft, leaving the taste buds with a tantalized sensation.
• Enjoy this bubbly well chilled, on its own or with delicate seafood dishes and entrées.
• Enjoy now or cellar for up to four years.

Cap Classique Brut

• Award: 4 Star Platter 2023.
• This pale straw-coloured Cap Classique shows a vibrant intensity, yet remains elegant and fine in style.
• On the nose, it shows orange blossom, Golden Delicious apples, lime and sherbet with hints of yeastiness and brioche.
• The palate is creamy with a fine, textured mousse and lingering, crisp finish – all perfectly integrated for pure enjoyment.
• Pairs well with oysters.
• Varietals: Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
