The Andre Verdier Laguiole Prestige Fork Set comes in a lidded wooden box. The set consists of six forks with a straight handle which is comfortable to use for both left and right-handers. The Prestige utensils are 100% hand-made, and the back of the utensils have a handmade engraving. The handle has the traditional trademark bee logo welded to the tang, and also features the shepherd's cross, a cross made from nails hammered in the handle. The legend says that the shepherds, when they were in fields, could make their prayer in front of this cross, once the knife was planted in the ground. This is an especially attractive decoration, which has become symbolic of the Laguiole knife. The handles are made from Country Olive Wood or African Mahogany.
