This basket is hand woven in Malawi using natural palm which grows in abundance in this beautiful country. Flat palm leaf strips woven into a tiered look gives the Katondo an elegant feature. Reed coils tightly bound in palm leaf strips give this basket a hardy base.
Due to the handmade nature of the product each basket will vary in size. Natural matierals are used in the making of this product therefore colour variations can be expected from basket to basket.
