Christmas gonks — unique little figurines with long bushy beards and knitted hats — are often considered to be the Nordic version of Santa Claus. Inspired by gnomes and hobgoblins found in Scandinavian and Nordic mythology, their popularity has been continuing to surge over the years. It is also said that the first mention of a gonk dates as far back as 1600 in Norway, and possibly even as early as the 13th Century. A well-known motif of Nordic folklore, the gonk is part protector, part Elf on a Shelf.
This Christmas gonk will cheer up any corner of your home! The traditional grey and white, Scandi-style gnome decoration has a woven tartan design and soft knit fabrics. The gloves and boots are soft felt fabric and each has a cute pink nose. Standing 41cm (16) tall it's the perfect addition to a silver and white Christmas theme.
