Don't get cold feet!

Even though there are some parts of South Africa that never seem to get that cold (here's looking at you, Durbs!), our winters always surprise foreigners, who think our weather is just sunny and hot, like all the time. But we know better, and we like to be prepared.

We plan our winter wardrobes well in advance, with jackets and boots that we simply can't wait to show off to our friends and colleagues, comparing prices and (low-key) making them jealous. But then we get home, shake the rain off our brollies, kick off our fashionable winter shoes and jump into our PJs, only to realise the cold (really cold) truth: we only planned our winter wardrobe for outside the home.
