Pinocchio is a wooden puppet created by the kindly woodcarver Geppetto. As per Geppetto's wish to have a son, Pinocchio was brought to life by the Blue Fairy. With Jiminy Cricket as his conscience, Pinocchio must prove himself brave, truthful, and unselfish, in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a real boy.

Geppetto is a kindly, old woodcarver and the creator of Pinocchio, a wooden puppet that is brought to life by the Blue Fairy per Geppetto's wish to have a son.

Jiminy Cricket witnessed how the Blue Fairy gave life to Pinocchio, a wooden puppet. The Blue Fairy gave Jiminy the task of becoming Pinocchio's conscience, and teaching him to distinguish between good and evil so that one day he will become a real boy.
