The Solanga Solar Jar is primarily a portable lantern designed to outperform and replace candles and paraffin lamps. It's a fun and sustainable, alternative and affordable light source. Perfect for camping, table set-ups, picnics and load-shedding. The Solar jar has a built-in load-shedding function and will turn on as soon as the room is dark, allowing you to easily find your way. Each lamp is manufactured in the Suntoy factory in Johannesburg with precise craftsmanship under fair trade conditions. Whether you use the sunlight lamp as garden lighting, on the balcony or as a decorative item on the table. The name Solanga combines the clean energy of the sun (SOLAR) with the sunlight ("ILANGA" from Zulu). The environmentally friendly, energy-self-sufficient light stores the clean energy produced by sunlight and converts it into a pleasant light (dusk with day/night automatic functions - includes USB for operation without sun).
