About
Chimay is a Trappist ale. Trappist beer is made within the walls of a Trappist Abbey, where the brewing is performed by, or under the supervision of Cistercian monks. Part of the proceeds gets donated to charity for social work and to help persons in need. Chimay has been brewing Trappist beers since 1863. The Belgian Tripel / Triple style is the newest addition to the Chimay range (introduced by Father Theodore in 1966).
