Brothers Aubrey and Ronan Verdier come from a long line of ‘Couteliers’ or cutlery makers and produce a wide range of Laguiole professional cutlery their modern factory, nestled in beautiful rural countryside in Thiers. The sustainability of genuine Laguiole cutlery is at the brand’s core and quality is controlled at each stage of the manufacturing process (up to 50 steps for one piece).

One for the bucket list

It's perfectly normal to sit on your stoep, or around the braai, and talk about the weird and wonderful places you'd like to visit in the world, like The Louvre in Paris, or Dolly Parton's theme park, aptly named Dollywood.

But did you know that somewhere cold and far away, a family up north is sitting around a smörgåsbord talking about how they'd love to visit sunny South Africa.

We South Africans have it pretty lucky sometimes - we don't need to travel all that far to experience something breathtaking, like our main deal of a 2-night stay at Safire Luxury Lodge. With space for 8 people, you can take the whole family - and a smörgåsbord!
