The easy solution to portable inverters without a UPS function. Have an inverter without a built-in UPS? Does your inverter battery drain faster than it charges? The Automatic transfer switch will solve your problem with it's 25ms changeover time.
The device is designed for a plug-and-play setup between your electric devices and the 230V output of either the inverter or Eskom supply.
If Eskom is active, the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) channels the electricity to your devices. However, if there's an interruption in the Eskom supply—due to load shedding or maintenance—the inverter takes over to supply power, ensuring continuous power supply. As soon as Eskom resumes, the system will seamlessly transition back from the inverter. This switch is automated, removing the need to manually transfer power sources. Essentially, this mimics Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) characteristics by providing uninterrupted power. The inputs from both the grid and inverter are kept separate, safeguarding against any possible electrical backflow, thereby preventing potential inverter damage or grid issues.

We've all been there - late at night, unable to sleep, but not really awake enough to continue watching our latest binge-worthy series. We flick through the various channels and come across a live stream of the South African parliament.
Amidst the chaos and the banging of the gavel, there's a whole lot of 'honourable member' and 'honourable speaker' being called out, and we can't really make much sense of what's going on. Still, it can often be rather entertaining.
Speaking of entertainment, check out our deal on a really honourable speaker: a wireless black extra bass speaker from Sony.
