Because magnesium is so vital to so many bodily functions maintaining adequate levels is essential for optimum health. Due to the complexities of absorption and availability there are a variety of different types of magnesium compounds available on the market. It depends on what substance the magnesium has been bound with as to the speed of absorption into the blood stream and to the final function of that specific magnesium formulation. (Some examples are: magnesium chloride, magnesium glycinate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium oxide etc.)
It is essential for more than 325 enzymatic reactions in the body. It acts as a cofactor in protein synthesis and carbohydrate metabolism. On an intracellular level, magnesium helps metabolise glucose and improves insulin response. It is also needed to dilate the blood vessels. If cells degenerate, magnesium chloride will quickly repair them, build up the body’s level of energy and stop the cells from becoming toxic.

The one thing keeping us sane under lockdown is routine. The weekend still feels like the weekend if you act accordingly.
As such we start our Saturdays as we would any other Saturday: a breakfast made up of 0% breakfast food and 100% junk food.
Around mid-morning we'd consider joining an online exercise class (as we would any other Saturday), and when that misplaced motivation passes we'll flop onto the couch for the rest of the day and watch the latest episode of whatever Netflix serves us first. Just like any other Saturday.
