Kids can have fun learning about electronic circuitry, rotation, and aerodynamics with the Flying Disc Kit from Connex. Simply follow the detailed, illustrated instructions to plug the pegged components onto the base, wire as instructed, and install two AA batteries (not included). Turn the switch on then off to launch the disc more than three feet in the air. As the motor spins the disc, its blades push air down underneath it, which results in the disc being pushed up and flying off. This is the principle behind helicopter flight and how sycamore seeds drift. Make the most of this fun learning time by also discussing how the switch and motor work as powered by the batteries. Low-voltage fun!

Be creative with your kit by mixing components with other Connex kits (take care to match power requirements). No soldering is required with this kit; all the components can be connected using the supplied wires fitting into the springs on the board. No need to worry about losing pieces, the kit comes in a box that doubles as a base to assemble the kit on and a storage box when you are finished.
