Rhino Beetle Gin - Handcrafted in the heart of Limpopo province using only the finest local botanicals gives this gin a smooth, delicate finish and is best enjoyed with a classic tonic.
The exciting range includes Raspberry & Indigenous Flowers, Litchi, Zesty Lemon, Rosehip, Turkish Delight and Elder Flower.
Turkish Delight Gin
Raspberry and Indigenous flowers – Someone once described this gin as somewhere between a green and red grape juice but sweeter. It has a fresh sweetness but tartness undertone that makes its sweetness subtle. There are also some floral notes from wildflowers which helps sedate the sweetness.
Litchi Gin
The balance of sweet and tart is perfected by using only the best, locally sourced litchi fruit. The Litchi Gin has a floral taste but- some say it's grape/rose, other insist pear/watermelon. The gin is sensual, very sweet and fruity.
Zesty Lemon Gin
Our taste buds have distinct preferences as to the flavor combination in citrus fruit, which is known for its zest and fragrance. Drinking a gin made from citrus fruit is refreshing and provokes an awakening of the taste buds. You will soon recognise flavors like Orange leaves, the peels of orange, naartjie, lemon and grapefruit, star anise, cardamom pods, and cloves.
Elderflower
Cream-colored, star-like, dainty blossoms with a sweet, honey-scented and crisp taste.
The Elderflower gin is more floral and lighter to taste, giving the gin a certain feel of softness and a palate-cleansing finish. Even though the Elderflower is a floral gin the flavor is not as intense as Rose or Lavender.
Raspberry
Fruity, sweet and a subtle sharp tinge. The Raspberry gin consists of different flavors and taste notes to look out for like, raspberry, hibiscus petals, echinacea root, orange leaves, orange peel and indigenous flowers (flowers that are in season).
Rosehip
Rose hips are the rounded part (fruit/berry) of the rose flower just below the petals.
Rosehip gin does not contain rose petals but still feature a delicate tart aftertaste. The taste is sort of tangy and can almost be compared to the Hibiscus flower.
Ours is about 3 feet by 3 feet, and on our left is the account's block. The marketing block is down the hall.
We're joking. Obviously.
Ours is at least 5 by 5, and on Wednesdays we're allowed to write in coffee shops to maintain the illusion that we're "successful" and "writerly".
Coming up with a write up for the simple sake of a write up does, however, become difficult when we're staring complete lack of creativity right in the face. But apparently asking management to cancel all the deals for the day isn't a viable fix.
As they so delicately put it, it'd be like a comedian having the option to suddenly cancel a show if they're not feeling up to it. Not on our watch, they said. You'll do a write up whether you like it or not, they said. And be funny, they said.
So here we are, doing a write up and being funny.
